Last days at work - Sweden
2008-12-08On the 28:th of November 2008 the last employees clocked out from Flextronics in Östersund. The company had about 400 employees and was the largest company in the small city that consist of about 40 000 inhabitants. The shutdown was a direct consequence of cutdowns at the telephone construction company Ericsson which was their main customer. Flextronics made circuit boards, a knowledge few others Swedish companies covet. This is a story about losing your job and your context.
