In Chile, Mapuche indians intensifying their struggle to gain control over their own land and culture. In the forefront is a fearless young generation. The Chilean government is not afraid to put the activists on trial under strict anti-terror laws that were created during Pinochet's military dictatorship. – We are young and willing to fight, even to sacrifice our lives to protect our territory. But to take up arms is not our style, "says 22-year-old Mijael Carbone Queipul, the youngest of the Chilean Mapuche indians leaders.
